I was born on the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean. During my high school years I worked in a cinema and saw many of the great movies of the 1960s and 70s. This may have some influence on my career in Media and Entertainment. After graduation from high school in 1973, I became an entertainer performing at resorts and on cruise ships throughout the Caribbean. I literally danced my way to the United States.
In 1979 I returned to Trinidad and landed a job as the Radio/TV Producer with Londsdale Advertising, (Caribbean) Ltd. Moving to Utah in 1981 set my life on a new direction. In 1984, I earned a degree in International Communications from the University of Utah. Returning to Trinidad in January of 1985, I was hired as a Producer in the Ministry of Information. I regularly interviewed Cabinet members, Heads of State, and dignitaries. My 1985 interview with Jarvier Perez de Cuellar, Secretary General of the United Nations is still a highlight of my career.
